100 Acres at the Indianapolis Museum of Art: A look back at 2010

I mentioned last week that I wanted to take a look back via photos at some of my favorite outings of 2010. Today I bring you one of our best: a morning at the Indianapolis Museum of Art's 100 Acres outdoor arts park. It combined two of my goals as a parent: allowing my child to experience the great outdoors and introducing him to cultural activities.

I wrote about our time at this wonderful spot here. My favorite piece of art at 100 Acres is Funky Bones, a series of enormous benches that form a human skeleton. But as you'll see in the photo below, the arrow was more interested in the plane flying overhead than the gigantic leg bone sculpture to his right. I'm confident that when we make a return visit, he'll be running all over these bones (and hopefully not breaking one in the process!)
