I've got so much to say about our trip to Chicago last weekend. But here is a sneak peak at all the fun Big Arrow had. He's at the beautiful age where each day his world gets bigger and his discoveries get broader. Museum visits are turning into giant learning opportunities and it's so fun to watch him soak it all up like a sponge.
"Feeling" a tornado at the Museum of Science and Industry.
Peeking in at all the tiny treasures at the Chicago Children's Museum.
More to come about our trip. Tomorrow I'll be loving on all the great friends we got to visit while there.
This post is a part of You Capture at I Should Be Folding Laundry. The theme this week is Looking In. Big Arrow certainly had a lot to "look in" at last weekend!
Oooohhhh. I can't wait! I sure hope it includes updates from the Krapec's and their bag of arrows!
ReplyDeleteHow old is Big Arrow again? I'm wondering if Dek is ready for museums. Or maybe I should say I'm wondering if I'm ready to really tackle a museum with Dek. Children's museums for sure, but other museums I'm still pondering. Can't wait to read more about Chicago!
ReplyDeleteBig Arrow be three at the end of April. I think Dek is definitely ready. When we do non-children's museums, I do research in advance to try to determine what exhibits are the most hands-on. Many museums have a kids-focused area that you'll want to devote a lot of time to, but we often find that most exhibits have at least some type of hands-on component to them that Big Arrow really enjoys.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a fun age and Chicago is a great city to explore!
ReplyDeleteGoodness! I love that first shot. We visited the Kids Museum in Omaha and they went crazy. Looks like we may make a trip to IL too. ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love visiting Chicago! So many great sights to see. Looks like Big Arrow had a great time.
