New Discoveries at the Pumpkin Patch

The Arrow learned an important lesson about nature during our trip to the pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago.

Not all pumpkins are orange.

Learning something new is my favorite part of traveling, and I simply love watching The Arrow discover and explore. Do you have a favorite memory of something your children learned during a trip or outing? Please share in the comments or on the Arrows Sent Forth Facebook page.

This post is a part of Photo Friday at Delicious Baby.

  1. I love that picture - I thought all pumpkins were orange too! We learned something on a trip to the pumpkin patch for school. That stem on the pumpkin is called a peduncle and I've gone my entire life without knowing that.

  2. certainly a moment of looking like an arrow sent forth in that shot. something we learned: the first jack o lanterns were turnips and gourds, not pumpkins.

  3. Great picture! You can see the discovery happening.

  4. The pumpkins may not all be orange, but he seems to have his eye on an orange one.
    Really nice picture.
